Re-Base & Reinforcement
Every replacement concrete driveway is prepared with durability in mind. After our crew has removed your existing concrete driveway, our crew goes to work finding the correct elevation for the replacement driveway. During this process our crew will review the best drainage plan for your new replacement driveway. It is also during this time that our crew will begin base preparation. After elevations have been approved, our crew will form out for a new 4" thick concrete pour (for most concrete driveways). The new base will be installed, this is 4" of compacted road base. As the crew is installing the new base, they are forming out for a consistent 4" thick concrete pour. By re-basing the driveway, our customers can be confident that their new driveway replacement will stand the test of time.
In addition to creating a new base for the driveway replacement, our crew will install #3 rebar, placing every 2' on center. That rebar grid will be lifted 2 inches to placed in the middle of the new replacement driveway. This reinforcement offers our customers the tensile strength needed to withstand parking vehicles on the new driveway.
